GIRLS GYMNASTICS PROGRAMS
We have both Recreational and Competitive girls classes.
Most girls start in the recreational classes and each August we assess the girls for the competitive stream.
We use the Gymnastics Australian National Girls program and compete both within Western Australia, Interstate and overseas.
RECREATIONAL GIRLS (GEMSTONES)
The classes are designed to build up both the girls confidence, artistry and their overall strength, using all the four apparatus (Floor, Vault, Uneven Bar and Beam) and trampoline.
Girls need to wear a close fitting T-Shirt and shorts /leggings. (Girls gymnastics leotards and shorts can be ordered online- see the front desk for details).
No jewellery is allowed for safety reasons. Long hair must be tied back.
Please click HERE for the girls timetable for recreational classes.
Gymnastics is a very complex sport and girls interested in competitions train for many hours to build up the strength and confidence to undertake the skills required. We have open assessment sessions in August for the following competitive year.
Girls train between 4 to 18 hours a week in very small classes. As they progress through the ten levels under the Australian Program they will train both before and after school. Weekend classes are compulsory.
The girls wear a specific uniform for both training and competitions, they are
part of a team and will be required to take part in all competitions for that season (June to October). Interstate and overseas competitions may start once the girls reach National Level 5.
